Market Context
The UAE fintech ecosystem is at an all-time high. According to the UAE Central Bank and DIFC FinTech Hive, the country has seen over 30% annual growth in fintech startups, and SMEs continue to adopt digital financial management tools vigorously.
New fintech platforms, however, are confronted with a credibility barrier. The UAE is primarily an authority-seeking audience, and financial technology needs strong trust signals: businesses rely on these platforms for critical functions such as cash flow forecasting, compliance insights and financial planning. That makes market penetration and audience acceptance a real challenge for new players.
A prominent Dubai-based startup that had recently developed an AI-powered financial forecasting platform got in touch with Pella Dynamics before its regional launch. We spent the first days in structured discovery sessions to understand the problem.
The problem: although the product used advanced predictive analytics, the brand had limited market recognition. The challenge was clear — transform an unknown startup into a trustworthy, credible voice within the regional fintech ecosystem and establish its expertise in its domain.

Strategic Challenge
Fintech adoption around the globe — and especially in the UAE — depends heavily on trust. Without industry validation and an authoritative, well-chosen media presence, even innovative platforms struggle to gain traction.
Our strategic planning team identified three barriers:
- Insufficient brand recognition
- Low media visibility and investor awareness
- Weak trust signals
Our strategy focused on authority-building communications, and we stayed clear of promotional messaging.
Campaign Architecture
We designed a data-driven Digital PR framework focusing on thought leadership, expert commentary and fintech insights.
01 — Executive Thought Leadership
Brand spokespersons were identified, and the CEO and product architects were positioned as experts in AI-driven financial forecasting. They were media trained and given orientation sessions on public image management. Expert commentary was then created and distributed to fintech and startup media outlets.

02 — SME Financial Insights Report
Pella Dynamics analysed publicly available GCC SME financial data together with proprietary client research to produce an industry insights report. The report revealed that one in four SMEs lack predictive cash-flow tools — a finding that generated strong media interest.
03 — Fintech Industry Roundtables
We set up a series of virtual roundtables connecting fintech founders, financial advisors and startup investors on a single platform. These discussions created editorial content, strengthened the startup's industry network and established our client as a knowledgeable voice in its domain.
04 — Investor-Focused Messaging
Instead of emphasising product features, the campaign highlighted the broader transformation of SME financial decision-making — more accurate and more credible when supported by AI.
Campaign Timeline
| Phase | Duration | Key activities |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery | Weeks 1–2 | Market research, competitor analysis |
| Narrative development | Weeks 3–4 | Messaging framework and story angles |
| Media outreach | Weeks 5–10 | Press placements and expert commentary |
| Industry engagement | Weeks 11–16 | Roundtables and investor discussions |
Media Placements
We used our carefully nurtured media network to secure campaign coverage across fintech and startup publications including Entrepreneur Middle East, Fintech News Middle East, Gulf Business, Arabian Business and TechRadar Middle East. The choice of publications ensured relevant coverage and significantly optimised brand visibility among fintech stakeholders, investors and the target audience.
Outcomes Achieved
- 34 media placements
- +180% increase in branded search
- 2 investor meetings directly attributed to media exposure
- 2 strategic partnership opportunities
Strategic Outcome
Within nine months, the SME fintech platform evolved from an unknown startup into a recognised voice cited by its peers. The CEO was invited to speak at three domain events, completing the first phase of authority building for the brand.
The campaign showed how authority-led digital PR strategies improve a brand's credibility in highly regulated sectors like fintech — and how that credibility builds trust in the eyes of the discerning UAE audience.
For new technology companies, reputation and trust are often more valuable than visibility alone.
